Tessa Jowell attended the official opening of the Dulwich Wood Nursery and Children's Centre on Wednesday.
The Centre has received funding through the government's SureStart programme which Tessa Jowell initiated in her first Ministerial position at the Department of
Health
Tessa Jowell said:
"The new facilities are absolutely superb and will allow every child at the nursery to thrive. I want to congratulate the Headteacher, Elizabeth Fleetwood and the Governing body, ably led by Katy
Jaffe, for having the vision to take this project through.
"The facilities will help the staff and everyone associated with Dulwich Wood Nursery to provide a great start in life for generations of children in my constituency."
Tessa is pictured with the Elizabeth Fleetwood (Headteacher- front left) and Katy Jaffey (Chair of Governors - immediately behind the headteacher) along with children from the nursery as they
untie the bow to declare the Centre open.
